Employment Notice
All potential employees must pass a drug/alcohol screening prior to job offer. Physical capacity profiles will be required for all manufacturing positions.

Shift Start Time
Day: 6:30 a.m., 7:30 a.m. (varies by department)
Evening: 3:30 p.m.
Overtime as needed

Types of Positions

Drivers
Drivers deliver and unload materials to customers throughout the Midwest. Each driver must have a Class A CDL and a current medical card. Drivers may spend two to three nights out per week and are paid per mile and stop.

Fabricators
Fabricators build aluminum windows and doors with the use of hand and air tools. Day or evening shift positions are available in the door and window departments.

Glass Tchnicians or Cutters
Glass Technicians work on the insulated glass line, glass cutting table, glass tempering line, or glass edge work line. Both day and evening shifts are available.

Glaziers
This position is for the employee who enjoys working outside in the elements. Glaziers install glass, windows, and doors throughout the Manhattan and surrounding areas. Construction background is required for this daytime position.

Loaders
Material handlers will load glass, aluminum windows, doors and metal into semi-trailers for delivery to our customers.

Metal/P&D
Metal department handles incoming materials that will stored until use. The Pour and Debridge department is responsible for loading materials into the machines for debridging.

Paint
We powder coat our materials for each custom painted order. Doors, windows and stock lengths of material are loaded on the powder coating line.

Screen
Our screen department builds screens throughout the day for the majority of our windows.


Employee Benefits

Health and Dental Insurance
The Manko Health Care Plan is Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Full time employees are eligible for health and dental insurance following a 90-day waiting period. Manko pays 50% of the monthly premium and the employee pays the remaining 50% through payroll deductions.

Life Insurance
Full time Manko employees are provided with a $25,000 policy following a 90 day waiting period. Dependent life insurance is also provided for spouses and children. Voluntary life insurance is available for the employees needing additional insurance.

401(k) Profit Sharing - Retirement Plan

Manko has established and currently administers a 401(k) and profit sharing plan to supplement employee income upon retirement. Eligibility is based upon certain criteria (i.e. 18 years of age, 1000 hours worked in one year and complete one year of service).

Vacation
It is Manko's policy to grant vacations with pay to provide eligible employees time for rest and recreation in recognition of services performed. After the first year of employment, employees receive one week of paid vacation and two weeks of paid vacation after two years of service.
